Admissions Process
SSS Academy welcomes student-athletes across all sports — hockey, basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and figure skating. Our admissions process is designed to identify motivated athletes who are committed to both athletic and academic excellence.
Step-by-Step Application Process
Step 1: Submit Inquiry
Complete the inquiry form below or contact our admissions team. We will respond within 48 hours to discuss your goals and answer questions about the program.
Step 2: Complete Application
Submit the full application including:
- Academic transcripts from the last 2 years
- Two letters of recommendation (coach and teacher/counselor)
- Athletic resume with competition history
- Personal statement of goals
Step 3: Video / Performance Submission
Submit game film, competition footage, or a skills video showcasing your abilities in your primary sport. Our coaching staff will evaluate your current level and development potential.
Step 4: On-Campus Evaluation
Attend a tryout or evaluation session at Fire 'n' Ice. This gives our coaches a chance to see you in person and gives you a chance to experience our facilities and training environment.
Step 5: Interview
Meet with our admissions team and sport-specific coaching staff. We want to understand your goals, your character, and how you will contribute to our academy community.
Step 6: Acceptance Decision
Decisions are communicated within 2 weeks of your interview. Accepted students receive a detailed enrollment package with next steps.

🏃 Hockey Skills Academy — Pricing
The Hockey Skills Academy is designed for players in grades 8–12 who want elite daily training while staying enrolled in their own school or club team. No academic transfer required.

ESA Voucher and OSAZ Charter School waiver are equivalent — families qualify for one or the other, not both. Amount is the same ($7,800).

Billet housing ($6,300/year) is paid as $700/month for 9 months directly to host families (hockey only). Food costs are available for purchase as needed and are not included in housing fees.
